NICOMEKL – City Nature Challenge Bioblitz

City Nature Challenge with Nicomekl Naturekids 

Join us for a Bioblitz – a citizen science collection event at Elgin Heritage Park in Surrey. We will use the iNaturalist app to upload observations of plants and animals at the event location. There will be volunteers and nature mentors onsite to help with identification and to take questions. It is a great way to learn about nearby nature and contribute to local citizen science. The data that is collected will also be used in the 2022 City Nature Challenge, a global bioblitz event.

Location: Elgin Heritage Park in Surrey
Time: Choose 10am or 10:30am start time
Nicomekl Naturekids is taking part in the City Nature Challenge, a global competition to make and record observations of plants and wildlife in your city. Take photos, practise your identification skills, and learn how to use iNaturalist and Seek Apps. There will be lots to see in Elgin Heritage Park’s many habitats!
We are inviting families from outside the club to participate in this event by pre-registration. If you know of a family that might be interested in attending, please have them register by emailing nicomekl@naturekidsbc.ca.
