On Saturday, July 19, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., we will visit Renfrew Ravine Park, located in East Vancouver, to join the Still Moon Arts Society for a round of basket weaving and stewardship at the Mid Ravine site.
We will spend the first hour and a half removing ivy and other invasive species, followed by an hour of relaxing basket weaving.
Light snacks and beverages, including tea and sparkling water, will be provided.
Interesting fact: Still Moon Arts Society and community volunteers have removed nearly 80% of the English Ivy ground cover and are aiming to remove it completely -or close to it- during this session.
We invite you to lend a hand in caring for this special site—and take home a handmade basket!
