Bee Houses and Pollinators:

Time: 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM

Date: Saturday, February 21st

Location: Buck Creek Canfor Fish Hatchery and Nature Center
Join us for a fun, hands-on afternoon celebrating pollinators! Families will have the chance to decorate mason bee houses and help build bug hotels using natural materials. Each family will create a small bug hotel to take home, while we work together to build a large pollinator hotel that will stay at the Nature Center.
Along the way, we’ll learn about the important role pollinators play in our ecosystems, including bees, butterflies, ladybugs, and more. We’ll also chat about how to create pollinator-friendly gardens. To help continue the learning at home, families will receive pollinator seed packets to plant in their own gardens.
This is a great opportunity to get creative, learn something new, and support local wildlife—perfect for curious kids and their grown-ups!
