NORTH VANCOUVER – Cypress Park

July might seem far away, but we thought that we’d get this one out early! Please join us for a walk in Cypress Park with the Discover Parks Ambassadors.
  • Where: Cypress Park – Yew Lake Trailhead/Cypress Creek Lodge. Meet in front of Cypress Creek lodge, the big building at the end of the parking lot. Look for the Discover Parks Ambassadors in bright orange shirts!
  • What: This guided walk will take us on an easy trail through the Cypress Park Yew Lake trail. The Discover Parks ambassadors will share their knowledge about local ecology with us.
  • When: July 5th, 10-11:30 am. Come a bit early since the parking lot can be busy.
This walk is on the easy Yew Lake trail. It was a hit last time! The Parks Ambassadors will share information about local mountain ecology with us.

Explorer Day Etiquette:

Be prepared to HAVE FUN

Pre-registration with your Club Leader is required for most Explorer Days (Friends are welcome if space permits).

Please arrive 5-10 minutes before the scheduled start time to ensure enough time for passport stamping and organization. Starting times are firm, and Leaders cannot wait for late-comers!

Please stay with the Leader and let them know if you are leaving early.

Children must always be accompanied by an adult guardian, who is responsible for their behaviour. Children consistently disrupting the experience of others may be asked to leave.

Bring appropriate weather gear, sunscreen, snacks, water, and other useful tools like binoculars, sketch books, cameras, and magnifying glasses.
