VERNON – Freshwater Exploration
- 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
Join us for a hands-on freshwater exploration adventure!
Discover the hidden world of stream life by searching for and identifying aquatic insects and other small creatures, while learning how these organisms help scientists assess the health of local waterways. To help us with our learnings, we have a special guest joining us. Learn more about her here:
Myriam Dostert is a long time teacher with a focus on special education in the latter part of her career, as well as a tutor specializing in science and math. She has a BSc in biological sciences and organic chemistry and a post baccalaureate diploma in special education. Myriam loves to share her passion for this beautiful valley with people of all ages.
Afterward, we will have some healthy snacks available and time to enjoy the playground and green space.

- Time: 10-12 (or until you are ready to leave)
- Location: Coldstream Creek Park
- Age range: everyone welcome but the activity portion is suited for 5-12 years old
