BURNABY- Learn to Camp (Animal aware and Camping 101)
Join us to welcome Parks Canada Learn to Camp..maybe for the last season!? Wonderful guest speakers will come with props, diagrams, skulls, camping tents and more to help get us ready for being outside. It’s a perfect opportunity to learn or refresh you camping skills for the summer and pick up safety tips for being around wild animals. You will get the chance to set up a tent, learn fire safety skills and gain knowledge about local plants.

Edmonds Park, Burnaby
*Meet us in the park under one of the shelters or in the open trees close to the parking lot. Look for someone in a green shirt with the words (NatureKidsBC).
*Free street parking in the lot and on the street. Good transit + near skytrain. Close to the recreation centre.
Explorer Day Etiquette:
Be prepared to HAVE FUN
Pre-registration with your Club Leader is required for most Explorer Days (Friends are welcome if space permits).
Please arrive 5-10 minutes before the scheduled start time to ensure enough time for passport stamping and organization. Starting times are firm, and Leaders cannot wait for late-comers!
Please stay with the Leader and let them know if you are leaving early.
Children must always be accompanied by an adult guardian, who is responsible for their behaviour. Children consistently disrupting the experience of others may be asked to leave.
Bring appropriate weather gear, sunscreen, snacks, water, and other useful tools like binoculars, sketch books, cameras, and magnifying glasses.
