Camping and outdoor activities are an awesome way of connecting as a family while sharing skills, building together, learning about and playing in our natural world. Curious about camping? Don’t have the right clothes? Unsure of how to act around wild animals, especially large predators? Come out and learn how to be safe and have fun in nature this summer! Parks Canada staff will help us set up tents, learn about safety equipment, how to be respectful of wildlife in the best ways so we can share the forests and parks. Get ready for your own connection to the outdoors and camping by bringing the whole family to this event! *This event is a hands-on introduction for beginner campers or those who would like a refresher on basic tenting skills, packing and wild animal care/ safety.
