This October, our Explorer Day is all about mushrooms, the hidden treasures of the forest floor! We’re thrilled to invite you to join local mushroom enthusiast Rob Stacey, who has been foraging in the Kootenays for over 30 years. Together, we’ll wander through the autumn woods to search for and identify different kinds of local mushrooms, learning useful tips, fun facts, and fascinating information along the way.

Whether you’re a curious beginner or a seasoned forager, this walk is the perfect way to soak in autumn’s beauty, connect with nature, and learn together.

Come join us for a guided fall mushroom walk where we’ll:
🍂 Explore the forest trails
🍄 Learn fun and fascinating facts about local fungi
🌲 Identify different mushroom species together

It’s a wonderful opportunity to connect with nature, ask questions, and enjoy the beauty of autumn in the woods.
