NELSON – Birding Day

Hello NatureKids families,

Spring is in full swing, and the birds are busy! We’re excited to invite you to our May Birding Explorer Day.

Join us for a relaxed, family-friendly morning of birdwatching, listening, and outdoor discovery with experienced bird mentor Paul Prappas. Together, we’ll tune into the sights and sounds of spring birds through simple observation and playful, hands-on games. Paul is well respected in the local birding community and has mentored us before,  we’re really looking forward to this one!

🌿 Calling Birding Enthusiasts!
Although we do have a bird mentor organized, we’d love to have a few extra bird enthusiasts join us to share their knowledge. Whether you’re an experienced birder or simply someone who delights in recognizing birds by sight or song, we’d love to have you share your knowledge with our group in an informal, welcoming way. Just come along and share what you know with individuals or the group!

If that sounds like you (or someone you know), please reach out to: nelson@naturekidsbc.ca

This Explorer Day is free for members of NatureKids BC. Non-members are welcome, if there is space. Everyone must pre-register.

We hope you can join us for this special spring morning of birdwatching and discovery.

Warmly,

The Nelson NatureKids Club Team

Explorer Day Etiquette:

Please stay with the Leader and let them know if you are leaving early.

Children must always be accompanied by an adult guardian, who is responsible for their behaviour. Children consistently disrupting the experience of others may be asked to leave.
