Calling all rockhounds and local history buffs! Let’s look beneath the surface of the City of Nelson and discover the secrets hiding beneath our feet.
We will be joined by local teacher and geologist Joseph Schmaltz who will share his knowledge and passion for geology and local history, and help us understand how our hometown came to be. We’ll learn a bit about mining history, check out some cool rocks, and discover how to visualize the passage of time on a geologic scale!
