Join NatureKids Nelson to dive into all things fishy at Kokanee Creek Park.
Join park naturalists for a guided walk along the spawning channels and get up close and personal with the kokanee salmon. Observe a salmon dissection to learn about how their bodies are adapted to their underwater world. If time allows and there is interest from the group, we can take a short snack break and then continue our learning by pond dipping for aquatic insects in the river, or venturing further into the park along one of the easy trails. We’ll see what the group would like to do. Kokanee is a great park to explore. If the weather is nice you may want your beach attire!
