Join us for a special morning at Rixen Creek Farm Sanctuary, nestled alongside a peaceful creek and home to a variety of friendly rescued animals.

You’ll get to meet goats, sheep, mini pigs, turkeys, rabbits, and ducks in the peaceful setting of the sanctuary. Our host, Deborah Nasmyth, will introduce each animal by name and share their stories and fun facts. She’ll also lead a guided tour of the farm. If time allows, and the group remains calm and quiet, small groups may have a chance to enter the enclosures to gently pet or feed some of the animals. Please remember, this is a sanctuary — a safe place where animals are here to live out their lives in peace. Kindness, respect, and mindfulness are expected during the visit.

As part of this experience, NatureKids members will be invited to create a piece of art inspired by the animals they meet. Choose to paint a favourite animal on the farm or write a special message — your artwork will be painted on a small wood tile and displayed at the farm on one of the coops or fenced areas. All art materials will be provided.

We’ll take a short snack break between activities, so please pack a healthy, plant-based treat to enjoy.

Suited For children aged 5 and 12. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
