We’re excited to invite you to a very special NatureKids Richmind Club Dye & Weaving Explorer Day on Saturday, June 28th from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM in Richmond!

This event is part of our celebration of National Indigenous Peoples Day, and we’re looking forward to a hands-on, meaningful outdoor experience for the whole family.

What to Expect:Families will rotate through engaging nature-based activities led by our volunteer leaders, Cherrie and Lina.

Activities include:“Colours of the Land” Wool Dyeing Display – A live drop-in demonstration by a local Indigenous artist, naturally dyeing and showcasing wool while sharing traditional knowledge.

Families will visit the display in small groups.“Cedar, Tree of Life” Take-Home Activity Kit – Learn about the cultural significance of the cedar tree and create your own cedar bracelet using the materials provided. The kit includes a video tutorial by Musqueam weaver Vivian Mearns Notaro.
