Join Surrey NatureKids to learn about Salmon and their habitat! There are five main species of salmon found in BC waters, all protected under the Endangered Species Act due to their decline.
At the Tynehead Fish Hatchery, The Serpentine Enhancement Society releases about 250,000 salmon back into the Serpentine River every year in an effort to help preserve the locally endangered species.
Join us for a fun morning learning about the salmon lifecycle, visiting several stations and releasing some salmon fry!
