Hello Vancouver Families: Ever wonder about all that greenery covering logs, tree trunks, and rocks? Join us at Cypress Falls in West Vancouver on Sunday, Nov. 2, 1:30 to 3:00 PM to explore the world of Bryophytes (mosses, liverworts, hornworts) with bryologist and Nature Mentor Connor Wardrop. We’ll learn all about how these fascinating plants live their lives without roots or vascular systems! We’ll also have a Scavenger Hunt to find 10 common bryophytes (and maybe some uncommon ones), and we’ll view a few specimens under magnification.
Fun fact: Bryophytes have been on the planet for over 450 million years!!
