VANCOUVER – Searching for the Elusive Fairy Shrimp!
- 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm
Have you ever heard of a Fairy Shrimp? Pacific Spirit Park Society (PSPS) is conducting monitoring activities for the Oregon Fairy Shrimp, and they have invited us to join them to learn about these invertebrates and to try pond-dipping ourselves. We might be able to catch some fairy shrimp – and perhaps a few other critters! After this activity (time dependent), we’ll take a short walk to the “Beaver Pond” area to listen for frogs and birds.
We are fortunate to have several Nature Mentors for this Explorer Day from the Fairy Shrimp Monitoring Team: Caitie, Emily, Daniel and Lisa, as well as Laura, Program Coordinator of PSPS, and volunteer.
