In response to COVID-19, NatureKids BC is providing online resources and interactions, such as Virtual Explorer Days, to ensure the safety of our members. Please read our COVID-19 Guidelines and Policy for any potential in-person gatherings this summer.
Enjoy an early morning of birding with Vancouver Avian Research Centre (VARC). We’ll fine tune our bird identification skills, and get more detailed information about bird banding. There’ll be activities, and crafts too! Whether you’ve been to the bird banding station before, or if this is your first time, there will be something for everyone!
Please bring water, a snack, and weather appropriate clothing.
Accessibility: Location is accessible by car with a small parking lot. Washrooms are also available. No defined trail and may not be completely stroller / wheelchair accessible. Please message me if you have questions or concerns.
*Registration is limited and available on a first come, first serve basis. All confirmed registrants will receive an email confirmation prior to the event.
** For the safety and well-being of the birds, we’re unable to band in the rain or if it’s too windy. Sometimes banding is cancelled at the last minute if the weather changes.
