SUMMARY:HOUSTON - Equity Ice Falls Hike
DESCRIPTION: Join us for an afternoon of birding at one of BC’s best-known birding spots\, the George C. Reifel Migratory Bird Sanctuary! Located in Delta\, the Sanctuary covers over 300 hectares of managed wetlands\, natural marshes\, and low dykes. A knowledgeable biologist from Reifel Sanctuary will lead us on a guided walk through the wetlands\, where we’ll learn to spot and identify birds that call the sanctuary home! Did you know? During a year\, it is expected that approximately 200\,000 ducks\, 25\,000 geese\, 1\,000\,000 shorebirds\, and 70\,000 gulls use the sanctuary. We’ll explore the migratory paths and behaviours of local and visiting species\, and learn about how wetland habitats support a thriving bird population.Date & Time: Sunday April 27\, 12:45PM – 3:30PM – Please arrive on time as our biologist-led tour starts promptly at 1:00PM. There will be free time to roam after the tour and the sanctuary closes at 4PM Location: George C. Reifel Migratory Bird Sanctuary\, 5191 Robertson Rd\, Delta\, BC. We will meet at the Gift Shop Registration: https://forms.gle/j8gdYzZBdEe4a7D77
