The cost for this activity is $4 per child\, the Cowichan Valley Naturalists Society has generously offered to covered the remainder of the cost.\n\nDress for the weather and wear rubber boots. DESCRIPTION:Our September outing will be kayaking with Wilderness Kayaking in Maple Bay. We have 9 spots at 9am and 12 spots at 10am. Kids will be out for about one hour.\n\nThere is a cost of $15 per person to attend this event and spots will be on a first come first served basis. There will be a waiver form to sign when you arrive.\n\nMake sure you are dressed for the weather\, life jackets will be provided but if you have your own bring it along.  If it is raining heavily or too windy we may have to cancel on short notice. Please check your email before heading out if the weather looks bad.

DESCRIPTION:This is one of the Cowichan Valley’s best kept secrets: Eves Park. It is a 45 acre\, Class C Provincial Park\, gifted to BC in 1961 by Janet Goodall. If you haven’t been there before\, it is a quaint park that has a rain forest\, railroad tracks AND even a cave. How cool is that??!!

Garry Oak meadows and woodlands are home to numerous endangered flora and fauna. Come and assist in the preservation of these species by collecting seeds which will be propagated in the Native Plant Nursery at the Cowichan Garry Oak Preserve.
