This is a great location to watch them from as there are no nearby lights.\n\nGates open at 7:15pm. We will meet at 7:45 pm under the big telescope (satellite dish) located towards the visitor centre building. Bring yourself a blanket or lawn chairs to sit on\, snacks/drinks (the Penticton air cadets do run a concession). It might actually cool down when the sunsets so bring a sweater/jacket. Maybe a star viewing app on your phone. Sky View Lite App for iPhone and Androids is one you might like. Load this before coming out as there is no cell service at the observatory.\n\nThere are talks that start at 8pm but with the younger kids it might be a bit much. There will be telescopes setup to see the stars and the planets. The meteor show will start at dark. The gates will close at 11:30pm\, if you plan to stay that late.\n\n\nLocation: White Lake Observatory\, 717 White Lake Road\n\n\nhttps://www.nrc-cnrc.gc.ca/eng/events/presentations/2018/meteor_shower.html\n\n\n  \n
