DESCRIPTION:Join NatureKids Nelson to dive into all things fishy at Kokanee Creek Park. \n Join park naturalists for a guided walk along the spawning channels and get up close and personal with the kokanee salmon. Observe a salmon dissection to learn about how their bodies are adapted to their underwater world. If time allows and there is interest from the group\, we can take a short snack break and then continue our learning by pond dipping for aquatic insects in the river\, or venturing further into the park along one of the easy trails.
