We’re going to join Sam Cousins\, a biologist with the Metro Vancouver Regional Parks\, to learn about this unique regional park and help renaturalize it. \nWe will be weeding a planted restoration site and laying weed barriers between plants. DESCRIPTION:We’re pleased to welcome back astronomer Justin Lee to share his knowledge and passion about the night sky with us. On October 9\, from 6:30 to 8:30 PM\, we’ll meet at Kitsilano Beach where we’ll have a good view of the moon and Saturn through Justin’s telescope. This is an all-ages event\, and you can drop by anytime. We hope to see some of the younger sky-gazers around 6:30. Feel free to bring some friends as well. To give us an idea of numbers\, please register here. \nJustin Lee is an amateur astronomer\, an interest he has had since he was 11. Throughout university\, he was a member of the UBC Astronomy Club. Now Justin loves to host public observation events and to share the night sky with others.
