SUMMARY:VERNON - Fintry Falls Hike
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a guided tour up to the viewing points of the majestic waterfall in Fintry park. \nAfterwards feel free to stay for a swim\, picnic or play at the playground! \nBC Parks Ambassadors will lead us on a guided hike! \nLocation: Fintry Provincial Park\, meet at the parking lot in front of the gate after the entrance \nThis short yet scenic trail begins near the parking area next to the octagonal dairy barn buildings and follows Short Creek up a series of stairs to stunning views of Fintry Falls. The trail is approximately 1 kilometre round trip and consists of a combination of dirt pathways\, gravel sections\, and over 400 stairs. The staircases are well-maintained with handrails and another rail at knee level but can be steep and uneven in places. There are three wooden viewing platforms each offering a slightly different view of the falls as the stairs climb higher up the canyon wall. The nearest restrooms are pit toilets located in the parking area. This trail is a rewarding but physically demanding option for those seeking a close-up view of Fintry Falls and the surrounding scenery. \nClick here to register!
