Mary is a geologist turned HR professional, with a lifelong fascination for rocks, the physical
earth and how man can best live within it. She spent her career in the mineral exploration
industry, living and working in many countries in North and South America, Africa and Europe.
Over the years, she’s developed a profound appreciation for cultural diversity, different
leadership and management styles, and the importance of community engagement to the
successful execution of projects. She has degrees in Geology from Stanford University and the
University of California, Berkeley.
Since retirement, she has been involved with a number of local nonprofits, and her focus now is
serving esteemed organizations in their quests to make a difference.
