NatureKids BC is an award-winning 25-year-old registered charity that empowers families with young children to connect with nature and each other. Through a network of 30 Nature Clubs across BC, a quarterly nature publication for children, and trusted community agency partnerships, we empower the talents of our local volunteer leaders, nature mentors and supporters to help children develop a love of nature, a lifelong connection to the natural world, and a sense of responsibility to take action for nature.
Job Description:
NatureKids BC is offering a growth-oriented position to assist with a challenging and fun variety of tasks related to the production and distribution of our growing and evolving quarterly publication, NatureWILD. The role will advance the public profile of the NatureWILD magazine and will work on career-related tasks, including supporting the production management implementation for the winter and spring NatureWILD issues of 2025/2026.
With the creation of this role in 2023, we have been able to streamline the production process for the magazine, revitalize and modernize the graphic design, include more BIPOC and youth voices in our pages, create a new Youth Advisory Circle, and produce special issues like FreshwaterWILD and the 25th anniversary issue. Overall, this staff support of NatureWILD has allowed the magazine to become more diverse, engaging, and polished, and has strengthened its connection to our mission and to the rest of our programming. We are excited to meet our next editorial production and distribution intern to maintain the momentum we have built with the magazine so that we can continue to make NatureWILD an exciting
publication that inspires all families to explore, play, learn about and take action for nature.
