At the beginning of June, Texada Island NatureKids enjoyed a coastal foraging Explorer Day at Shelter Point. Texada families were joined by Jade Berg, founded of Wild Isle Cooking.

On a clear and fresh spring evening, we went “Sky Gazing” at Kitsilano Beach Park with astronomy enthusiast Justin Lee.
Salmon Arm families experienced the joy of birding during several outings in May and June with the Salmon Arm NatureKids club, Shuswap Naturalists Club and the Salmon Arm Bay Nature Enhancement Society. Families enjoyed morning walks at the Salmon Arm wharf with local nature experts, learning about birds of the foreshore!
On an cloudy June evening, Merritt NatureKids and their families explored their artistic skills with the Nicola Valley Art Council, a non-profit organization powered by creative energy and respect for all people.
On an early May Saturday families from the Kamloops and Salmon Arm clubs braved the rainy weather to explore Neskonlith Meadows.
On a beautiful spring day the East Kootenay NatureKids BC club celebrated Earth Day by participating in a community clean up.
On a cloudy and cool winter’s day, seven families met at Burnaby Lake Regional Park to look at
wintering birds, and to go for a forest walk.
